'Mike' - Flight Operations, UK:
I joined the company in 2018, after 18 years as a pilot in the RAF. The highlights included Typhoon squadron command, operations in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria and scrambles on UK Quick Reaction Alert. I’ve also worked in crisis response and strategic planning in the Ministry of Defence – although my most memorable day in London was leading the Queen’s Birthday Flypast in 2009.
Since working at Draken, I have operated the Falcon across the UK, Europe and the Middle East working with frontline warships and fighter aircraft. We are a truly a unique company and I’m incredibly proud of the work we do and the capabilities and dedication of the pilots and engineers that deliver on these critical tasks 365 days a year. Draken is a true market leader in electronic warfare and operational readiness training, and with new fleets of aircraft we are continuing to grow and spread our wings in this critical area of national Defence.
