Operating alongside Draken’s Sword fleet are our EW aircraft — the Shield that delivers sophisticated electronic attack, threat simulation and communication jamming capabilities. These expose the training audience to a contested, degraded and operationally limited environment (CDOE).
Exposure to our EW effects through regular and repetitive training enables front-line personnel to recognise and counter such threats instinctively when they occur for real. This is the core rationale that underpins our live EW training.
Since 1985, Draken’s Shield services have offered a unique capability in the air, land and maritime domains, one that we deliver annually to more than 25 nations across the NATO alliance and its strategic partners.
